A French manufacturer and European leader for 40 years, Ceratizit Lyon - AgriCarb specializes in the production of agricultural wear parts reinforced with tungsten carbide inserts.
Following its integration into the CERATIZIT Group in 2022, the company became Ceratizit Lyon - AgriCarb and now benefits from the Group’s unique expertise, R&D capabilities, and global distribution network. Headquartered in Luxembourg, CERATIZIT has been a pioneer for more than 100 years in the development of hard material solutions for machining and wear protection.
The very specific manufacturing process for agricultural wear parts reinforced with tungsten carbide inserts was created by a man with hands-on farming experience, Mr. Michel Curtat, founder of the AgriCarb brand. As the son of a farmer, Michel Curtat frequently saw his father repairing or replacing agricultural wear parts. He then came up with the idea of applying tungsten carbide to wear parts to significantly extend their service life.
Today, from the compaction of carbide powder to the finished product, Ceratizit Lyon remains the only French manufacturer to master the entire production process of its carbide wear parts in-house.
Based in Meyzieu, near Lyon, France, Ceratizit Lyon guarantees French manufacturing expertise and quality, and ships its products throughout France, across Europe, and to the United States.
